Looket G8 TomTom or iGo

Thanks FatBoyFun
, I'll wait for your ideas before attempting maps of Sygic.
Image

Problem with the Sygic Appears to be that None version as 9.xx + is going to be compatible as existing one is 7.5. Also it is an issue of validating them maps as somehow they are meant to be cracked via USB...
My plan is , if you got patience still, to try TT to run, but potential for bricking up there is also possibility, whilst there are no real guarantee, that even Sygic would work...
I'll hang about for your ideas!
Thanks!

Route 3(upgrading attempt for actual Sygic alternative product- Sygic truck)- results

Not sure as KeyG is applied correctly, but no result in generating the Licence file- only serial..
Then after copying files of Sygic Truck to appropriate folders (replaced drive; replaced few other, drivers folder- only added one file, but left drivers as such of old)
result:

Guys, should I upload real Update for software and maps(UK & ROI 2008 ver 7.5), that isn't available on they site no more? one concern regarding that- license file generated in it appears to be directly connected to my unit serial number, might be complete waste of time.

Appears that Route 3- Sygic - TeleAtlas upgrade is out of equation for now...
http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?4756-Sygic-Mobile-Maps-ver-8.24-Multi-platform-Version/page2
Back to idea of TT and drivers to recognize them (as in Port 3- Baud 9600 on sygic TA V 7.5 when Running)...
How possibly we could find a way for driver to get compatible with Looket adapt to TT?

within self extracting (after decompression)- folder"SD Update for Looket G8 (UK) 080425"
contains folder DRIVE (36mb)
Code: Select all

This is "Drivers" within "DRIVE" folder (16.11 KB)
Code: Select all

this is settings.dll file within "DRIVE" folder (1.73 KB)

This is Total Commander, Which is a file explorer, This should make life a bit easier.

Extract and copy the folder to your SD card and reboot, Now you should be looking at an explorer window. Have a look in windows folder...

List what .exe files there are.

I scanned Port Splitter with Dependency Walker and added the dll's it needs so it should work now.

Copy the folder to the SD card and navigate to it using the file explorer and double tap the executable.

That would most likely be on the about screen of the original nav application.

Is there a "Control.exe" in the windows directory?

... Tried Clean Folder "DRIVE"- only TCMD- did not work; So got to load all Original DRIVE content in to it, then TCMD(Drive) Folder contents to it- works!
WBBS regarding Device ID (On other topic perhaps), but still- what or how can I get PortSplitter to enable Ports- Only You can tell me... Still would prefer TT myself.
also- as when running Sygic(Looket) Original it says COM3- Baud 9600 (if it matters)

But Not even System or Owner- there is no such info...
Not vitally important, but would be handy...

EDIT:
Located DeviceId.INI compressed and exported it on SD Card- G8071100309

Com 3 Baud 9600, That's good to know, For some reason Tomtom can't see the GPS hardware, Let's try iGO next...

Download this... This is a version of Primo 1.1 that i uploaded that's configured for 320x240 devices.
UK maps here...

I am expecting errors but we should be able to sort that.

There's a file within the Primo directory called sys.txt, Open this with Notepad and find the [gps] section and change...

Port=2
Baud=4800

to

Port=3
Baud=9600

Then copy the folder to your SD card and run iGO.exe using the file explorer.
