MioPocket should do it, I guess.

Be careful with miopocket, it can ruin devices if installed or removed incorrectly.

If I get to unlock the magellan with Miopocket would I be able to use another software like igo primo with this gps?

Yes you can BUT just know that MioPocket makes registry changes to your device so it is imperative that you install it properly because that is needed if you want to uninstall it later. Plus it adds unnecessary software to your device - in my book. Google it FIRST if you want to know more. I'm pretty sure you can find MioPocket Lite here on Navitotal.

Look in the unlock section here for MioPocket Lite. At least it doesn't bloat your device.

Hope this helps. It's supposed to see resolution changes.

Default value will be changed during MioPocket installation. But you, as always, can do it by yourself, you only have to change in file settings.xml in (probably isn't the last) line

<LastConfiguredAt width="272" height="480" />

width/height values to your needs.
