You gave me a Shock in my Pant... 30,000 Kms on Bajaj?.. I envy you if it is not Typo mistake.. What Model of Bajaj?

What GPS you use on Motorcycle?.. Do you use that Chinese waterproof and shockproof Motorcycle GPS?.. I was planning to buy one for my Bullet.

Even I like to go in the unknown cities with GPS.. Finding is Fun... but I use my Scorpio most of the time.. would love if it i two wheeler.

@ Superabound
Bajaj and GPs...:cray: never thought and have the guts to put the Nav in bike... I have seen some gps nav fitted in bikes... but they all are specially designed. Really GREAT man.Making full use ..100% utilisation:lol::lol:
I too covered some 50K distances but in a car.. . Ya it helped me to roam Confidentially in unknow places. Not to forget, its a tool...we should know how to use it and explore it.

@nitinule Hi, In Mahindra XUV 500 ,MMI is providing the NAV SW and Maps. You can check in service station or anyof your friends car.
THanks.
Happy Navigation

No it's not a typo...defnitely ....30,000Km. I purchased my first bike in Jan 2009, did 11,000Km and sold it exactly 1 year later. In October 2010 i bought a 200cc Avenger (which i still have) and already covered a fair patch of Incredible India! :D

I'm using a Chinese 5" YF GPS (82F) WinCE 6. It's not specifically designed for motorcycles and therefore not waterproof. Nothing a plastic bag won't fix!
I had a tailor make a case from strong material, cut a hole slightly smaller than the screen, formed some wire to suit the screen and sewed the wire frame into the fabric giving a rigid opening. Sewed some velcro straps on the back for lashing to the handlebars. Pukka
It sits nice, and although the screen brightness is crap it's sufficient. Apart from the navigation i am always keen to record my tracks. Being able to convert straight to a KML is great.

What is your device? Specifications? Where do you live? Are you open to other navs?

Hi..the unit has no brand name written on it, a Chinese 8" touch screen with DVD/GPS/USB..etc. DashIn unit for my Suzuki SX4 car, it was installed yesterday,
but i do not have the map for the GPS system. I was told it runs on win ce 6, so I am looking for mapmyindia v7, indian maps.
I am actually very new at this, what do you mean by other navs?? Many thanks.

Navs are navigation programs. If you're from India, then iGO8 and Primo are not for you. Look at the Garmin section here. They have India maps. You need the Garmin Mobile XT program for WinCE. Post there for further help.
