BTW, he can probably also use MP LIte mio-device-unlock-f140/ But have him read the whole thread there so he gets the correct resolution.

Please post exactly what you tried and did with this unlock. I have a feeling that you're doing something wrong.

I unrar all the files and then copy the CopyToRootOfSDCard content do SD Root.

I put the SD card on the GPS and i get the same error: "Instalation files not found"

I try to rename "MioAutoRun.exe" to "autorunce.exe" but dont work...

Try with universal upload I just made.

It Works

With the help of spriggan the device is unlock, but every time i try to run iGo 8.3 or iGo Primo 2.4 I get error "l_pDisplay is NULL" !!!

Some clue ?

after hard reset (or battery flat) and no sd card in slot, does the unit ask for sd card to be inserted?
on the sd card is there an autorun file?

reason I ask is unit sounds like an old medion I had, couldn't permanently unlock it but could do a temp unlock but unit reverted back to original when did a hard reset/total power off or battery flat.
