Navman F10 frozen on startup screen

Postby Hammy7257 » Sat Sep 04, 2010 12:39 pm

Hi All,

I am new to the forum so thanks to admin for letting me use the site, I have just bought a Navman F10, the first one worked OK then went off totally, sent it back and received a new one however this one starts up to the screen with the smiling woman looking out of the vehicle and goes no further. I bought the data cable to connect to the PC but the PC doesn't pick it up, read I needed to reset it but can't manage this as it just freezes at this screen. Has anyone any ideas what the problem is.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried it without the SD card?
Unmodified the Navman should have no problems and if all is original I would say it is a hardwareproblem since the CE system can not be damaged by accident.

You can try to install a software update if you canstill acces the device in Windows [Please Register or Login to download file]
This will overwrite all possibly damaged bits and pieces.
If you can not access it in Windows than you might have to consider buying a new GPS.

Yep, I am starting to think thats the only way out, buy a new one, certainly won't be another Navman. It was bought because of its small size to fit on the front of a motorcycle but turned out to be small and nasty.
