on the txt file IGO.lnk do i use (LNK) in the title ??

No, I was just making it obvious what the extension was, Users sometimes type INK not LNK.
iGO.lnk or iGO 8.lnk or igo8.LNK, it all works!

Ok, copy it to the desktop folder, restart your device and tap the iGO icon...

Just a thought, Did you save as "All files" from Notepad?
It may have saved as iGO.lnk.txt but as you have known file extensions hidden it won't show, Rather than change settings on your PC just zip up the file and post it here...

thats it , i had not saved the file as all files, i was saved as txt. thanks for all your help fatboyfun , your very good at what you do, thanks for all your time
