At my point of view is you should look for the person or shop that sell it to you.
Flashing firmware may cause your GPS brick, if you choose the wrong one.
Seller that sold it to you should and must know well about their products , so they should
know which model of firmware to flash. You pay them to money(earn profit) they should provide with this service,
not only sell you and go.

these seller i buy from did not know a thing about GPS and without shop, he operate on a forum, i buy it due to the price and cpu version

Seller should know what they are selling, if they dont know should ask their supplier.But i know at china they are thousands of reseller, nearly more than 80% of reseller and wholesaler dont know about GPS.And those reseller and wholesaler should learn from the OEM company.

This is what normally China produce a GPS
1)manufacture- they produce PCB board and CPU chip.
2)OEM company -they buy this PCB board (normally aleast 500sets) then they buy GPS case, TFT screen to made finishing product.
they do most flashing of firmware and some even produce their own menu IU and modify IU.
3)Wholesalers- They dont know any about GPS and selling to resellers and end user
4)Resllers-They also dont know any about GPS and selling to end user.
This is what i find out when i went to china to visit some OEM company and wholesellers last month.

the person who sold you the gps is it by the name of janebxh or chxn, just curious

that right found him at cari forum, these guy don't know any thing about GPS software, so don't expect support from him

Weather, place(for example indoor, crowded building, under elevated bridge, in tunnel) and so on, these factors will affect the signal receiving, or even can't receive signal. Normally, as long as the gps locks 4 satellites, then it can be positioned and start to navigation. So, if have 5 to 6 bar lock, the navigation can work well, of course, I can understand you that if it can lock more satellites, then it will be better.
But if the gps device take very very long time to lock, then we will check if it's problem of hardware itself.[/color]
[color="blue"]6). Chinese interface font problem is the very big issue.[/color]
[color="darkorange"][BANBO] Pls find my attached .rar file. The steps is as below for your reference.
***unzip the file-->copy all files in the folder to an empty memory card--> set right path "reg.exe" on the main menu-->enter "navigation"-->start to run the program-->click "ok" to confirm your operation-->turn off the gps device(but NOT reset)-->turn on the gps device and check the Chinese interface font***[/color]

Hi Powertech,

After flashing and update the patch, now work perfect.....lock satelite now can get minimum 7 signal....sometime can lock till 9 signal.....chinese font also solved, now can see the font when i use ppg x7 tw.....cool!!!
