May try this
[Please Register or Login to download file]

Put all file on root of sdcard.

If you still cannot update, change the name yfos82a.img to os82a.img and rerun it. Also if your PNA are not 82a, you can try with the name os84a.img either on ysosXXX.img or osXXX.img

This one can be use on YFPND-PA04 ,YFPND-PA01 ,YFPND-88A ,YFPND-84A ,YFPND-82A ,YFPND-84T ,YFPND-80T

It seems that my PND totally death and been tried lot of OS82c.img and YFAPP.wzp to unbrick it but no luck so far.

PND boots up and stucks on the welcome screen eventhough i try to flash it back.

I need helps from someone here who expert in reflashing Chinese PND. :helpsos:

Format your ROM and try the following files, for 480x272 resolution and 64M internal memory YF PND:

I have a YF device myself and wanted to update to a newer firmware with the new Iphone style for the menu, it also offers a lot more build in program as well as a full Windows CE system and not the minimal basic one that mst of them have.
For me the best thing about these devices is that they are almost foolproof as the CE system is fresh after every boot.
I know for some users that is really a pain because they want a fully Windows system with all their programs installed and shortcuts on the desktop.
Well that is possible with a firmware flash of course but and it is a big but : there too many devices out there with modified systems that it can be har to impossible to find the correct files.
I found several that contain exactly the same content for the CE system but different menus. Some even contain a bootloader and the BL is what actually bricks your device.
For 99% of all user a good self made menu to start all the programs you need is more than enough - and it is simple to do.
Instead of the GPS program the menu is started and you can adjust the menu to your needs.
If you need to change some settings on the device you exit the menu and have the original menu of the device back.

The biggest challange with the firmware is to find the right one for your device and for most YF systems it will be almost impossible to find out what files you really need.
YF is a manufacturer and their devices are fitted with different hardware inside one model range.
The same circuit borad can be used for different screen sizes and hardware extras like DVB-T, WIFI, FM, TMC and so on.
With that in mind you know that you can use all firmwares for your device range if they match.
For example : your info screen says the firmware is PA06..... than all firmwares for any PA06 model will work.
But only the pure firmware! The menu is a different file inside the package and if that does not match your device will get stuck on the start screen because the menu is for a different screen size or has support for other hardware features.
Keep in mind the CE system will be the same!
Often there is another file inside the firmware archive for the registry sttings to match the hardware and to install specific drivers.
Having said that you now know that you :
a. never should install a bootloader - so delete it from the package!
b. you should only update the firmware if you have a problem, for all other cases use a self made menu or only the menu part of the firmware (if you are 100% sure to have the right files!)
c. if you only concern is the cinese CE system install a self made with the total commander in it and you will never need to acces the CE system.
Getting access to the CE system is mostly useless anyway as after each start all changes are lost and using a mortscript to change the settings every time is not really good in the long run.

I can provide some info on how to create your own menu and maybe a even a ready to go menu (800x480) where you only need to adjust the paths to match the name of your SD card.
I know that for some users this advice comes too late but ...

Bro..,

Maybe you could try from this website:
[Please Register or Login to download file]

click Download the software!

From there... you download [Please Register or Login to download file] (Mod YF Firmware-English) and YFAP30_pez.rar (Skin)

To install:
you must extract content (Mod YF Firmware-English) to empty card.
and then put the card in the card slot, after that... reboot your PND.
it will auto flash the firmware.

Mine fixed with those firmware. can use on YF GPS mudule WinCE 5

hope this could help you also

Seems you just won't understand it :(
Azuminuo you can not just download some menu without knowing if it works - that way you guys bricked the devices in the first place.
For the menu you posted to work you need a specific folder in the flash rom that most newer devices don't have anymore.

I strongly suggest not to download and install something if you have no idea what it is and how to use it !

All I've seen so far in this thread is playing kids.
I mean you are messing with your devices and have not the lightest idea what you are really doing :(
There is only one reason why someone might want to risk killing his GPS by updating to a new firmware : if it is faulty.
I just assume here : someone here thought it is nice to flash a new firmware on his GPS and killed it.
Other people with even less knowledge tried to help by poking aroung and not even asking the right questions to know what firmware is needed.
Try this, try that - that is not a game here....
YF is one of a few menufacturers where you can get the firmware roms and the devices are pretty hard to kill but you still need to know what you are doing.

If one of these things is bricked the first thing to know is why??
That someone was stupid enough to use the wrong firmware is pretty obvious but was it just the firmware or was there a bootloader installed as well?
So far I found about 20 different firmwares for these devices, some with BL some without.

I know it might be far too complicated compared to messing around for a long time but has anyone actually tried to ask the manufacturer for the correct firmware instead trying all useless files on the net ? [Please Register or Login to download file]

If you don't like the term stupid in that context ok.
But how did it actually happen that the device got bricked - usually that is almost impossible if you don't play around with the firmware.
I gave the contact details for YF because they can send you the right firmware files for your device including all instructions that you need to get the device going again.
Why do you think there are so many firmware files for YF devices out there in the WWW? Because you can get them - it is still almost impossible to read out a firmware so that it can be flashed onto a different device (or back on the same device for that matter).

And even if you don't like the word stupid - how would you call it ?
The best way in my opinion is to get the correct firmware for the model and to flash it - if possible with a correct BL as well.
So what it wrong about asking the manufacturer? If you need a new bios for your motherboard than you just try any bios you can find on the net or do you check it first and download the correct one?
Please don't get me wrong here. I'm not trying to fool or trick you here, there are too many variables involved for an easy solution.
As long as your device still tries to update the firmware than it can't be a brick but it using the wrong files.
I was only trying to help here...
