Hi Monsters,

The com2 file that you sent to me works fine on my device. Just a small note though. I'd noticed that the satellite searching for X8 is a bit slow (averaging about 1 minute) as compared to X5 SE. Do you know why? Or is it because I only begun to use X8 and it takes some time before the GPS location is being cached (if ever there's such term).

@newgps2011: During my first run, it took about 15 minutes before it can locate the satellite. Perhaps you can try waiting for a bit longer under an unobstructed view?

cheers,

Hi Monsters,

After installing it, I had noticed that the satellite searching for X8 (average 1 minute) is slower as compared to X5SE (average 15 seconds). Is this normal or is there anything that I can do to speed it up?

thanks,

cooldude,

On first run it is always slow. You will need to use it often to speed it up.

Hi Monsters,

Just checking. Is the COM2 file that you sent to me, running on baud 9600? I have the feeling that it might be of different baud and that's why my satellite searching is slow. Can you clarify this? thanks,
