Just to reconfirm. This will result in a clean exit without the Papago still in the memory working in the background?

Only the wayway X5SE version has the proper clean exit button (no video button) but I find it a little buggy. The other march version which I'm using, the exit button only can shutdown and sleep only but cannot exit back to the main menu. However in this version, it has a video button and pressing it, can exit back to the main menu. But if I'm not wrong it doesn't do a clean exit - the papago is still running in the background occupying the memory although it is not apparent from the screen. I have both versions as well as the com/baud.

I don't need the button for playing video. The video button is actually modified for exiting the papago. I have tried out both the Wayway version and the other march version and I find that the navigation is slightly different under these two versions. The Wayway version is a little buggy and I find that the other March version is a little better and more stable than the Wayway version. If I'm not wrong this is the first version from Wayway while the other one has gone through several versions and presumably more stable. That's why I ditched wayway for the other version. But unfortunately the video button has been modified from the original and somehow it does not exit cleanly but still hogging the memory. My GPS set has a small memory, and I discovered that if I exit using the video button and click on any other navigation program like iGO, GarminXT, it will hang or slow down the navigation when using that program (presumably memory used up). But if I shut down the set and restart (flush out the memory), things will be perfect. So I prefer to use the other march version and endure the slight inconvenience of shutting down and restarting it. That's why I'm looking for a better video exit.

All the links are dead...

Hi, you mean M3X6? Here is the main files and folders: http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?921-PAPAGO!-X6-M3GPS-Edition&p=6450#post6450

Browse a few more post after that to download other files. The download is without maps. Use MFM R21 maps for this version.

Hi Sharp,
Where do you get the X5SE and what happy file you use? maybe it has been modified and video button supposed to go exit when pressing it, since the modification was not perfect than the prog is still running in background. My recommend is to find (get from around the original posting) the happyfile but should unmodified video button, then use above mediaplayer (attachement) for replacing the original one, it should be working, pls try it.
Dont use your current happyfile since it is the modified one, will not work.
