Hi anune,

3,5 gps you mean is 3,5" GPS with 340x240 resolution, right?
On that resolution you can use X5SE from 3,5inch. Find it in this forum.

Thanks,
Ian

Hi Ian,
I have tried x6 m3gps, x6 hk (modified), and X5.2 (from Argentina) in a Generic GPS (wince5) with Argentian maps, and the results were:
- Offset position in X5.2 (Arg) an x6 m3gps. In x6 hk the position was OK with the same map. So, the map is not the problem
- I replaced in x6 hk the papago.exe and the EN folder in ORGANIC folder with the x5.2 (Arg) ones. It runs, but with offset position issues. So the problem is in papago.exe.
- Finally a verify the coordinate position in grades that show the Satellite info in x5.2 (arg) an IT IS OK!!!, but when you go to Navi, show a different place. So it is reading a RIGHT Coordinate but transform it in a wrong Map position, so there is an alghoritm between satellite reading and maps position (probably based on device identification).
I am giving you this basic test in order to help in solving the offset position.
By the way the x5.2(Arg) is not locked so Papago is confident on this way (offset position) to avoid happy files...
Thanks.

Hi grideco,

Yes, need work inside papago.exe that make diff.calculation when identified device not original. I suspect that coredll.dll from original device release after April 2010 have special calculation.
Check on IDA Pro only coredll.dll that import file ( dll that call by papago.exe) come from device (C:/windows), other import dll file place inside in X6 folder.

Have you test it backward, using X5SE (12 Mar 2010) in original papago device?
R6600 or R5890 that no problem using X6M3gps and X5.2 Argentina test test X5SE (12 Mar 2010) that running ok on chinese gps?

Need profesional on IDA pro to by pass this calculation......

Thanks for sharing.....

Hi there,

I've managed to pull out the program and extract navnet map into this x6
But somehow didn't manage to search for Poi using the keyboard. I can only type one character, then the keyboard buttons is disabled for the second character.
Any ideas?

Last week I did those test that you mentioned to IAN. First of all I have to change Map Header for use Argentina Maps, original Header was R21_Q2_SSC and i ´ve changed with R51_SSC, with this trick I can see Argentina Maps.
I have a dude, when you use H6HK can you search street with number, because i didnt can solve this problem.
Ex.: I go to destination - Roads/Door Number - select Argentina Folder - write street number but the icon DOOR NUMBER is "shadow" and I couldnt type street number, dont you?

If i can solve this error H6hk will be the best option because it has no offset error than X5SE.

Regards.

Hi Pfornasari,
I did the same that you have done with map header, and obviosly have the same problem with the street number; so I am looking for solving the offset position issue on X5.2 from Argentina.
If I found any solution I will post it.
Regards.

Hi Ian,
I know and appreciate all the effort that you are doing in solving this offset position issue. I know also how you are looking for learning advance IDA PRO management (I was searching about IDA PRO and I found you name there, again, thank you for your effort).
Answering your questions: I do not have Papago device so I can not try X5SE on that, But X5SE run OK on chinese gps.
Regards.

Hi,

Are you using Navnet for wince ( R21_Navnet_.....)?
I test no problem only coordinate offset.

Please check your X6, don't confuse with X6HK modified that I have change boot screen like X6M3gps.
If you use X6HK, we still have problem with POI search; mis match POI class.

Thanks,
Ian

I just found that papago hack is and old problem. This old post mentioned the files that are needed:

"Posted - 05 janv. 2007 : 07:58:18
It will not be an easy hack to get mapking/papago fully functional on 310x, You need the correct version of the following:
commctrl.dll
coredll.dll
ceshell.dll
aygshell.dll
note_prj.dll

And commctrl, coredll, ceshell are all stored in the ROM on 310x."

The link of this post: [Please Register or Login to download file]

I hope that can help a little.
Regards.
