This will be facing offset problem.....please read on the first post for offset guide,hope you will get your lucky offset number!

When you go to settings > interface ... I'm unable to see chinese characters on my 480*272 device. It show funny squares and like part of the characters missing.
How to overcome this?

Your PND doesn't support chinese characters, ways to solve that are either to "flash" your firmware to chinese firmware (too risk as it can make your pnd brick) or put chinese characters on your pnd, see below for what user from Vietnam put "tahoma font" for getting Viet Character:

1. copy 2 files: tahoma.ttf and tahomabd.ttf into one folder on your sd card (ex: SDMMC/Fonts). These 2 fonts can be found on any window computer.
2. Use a regedit software for wince to create one more key in registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontPath]
"FontPath"="\\SDMMC\\Fonts"

so find Chinese characters and follow above way...more safe than the first way....good luck.

Thanks for your prompt reply. My device is already running on chinese os and yet i can't see the chinese fonts. My 800 *480 device is the similar brand with chinese os but does not have this problem.

Try the second way, maybe it will work... or please check BaseLangCHTL.dll inside X7, can you see it there? there or not try to replace by the one (BaseLangCHTL.dll) that can be seen in your device. (get from other software, TW software etc)

Ha..ha..guess what? When i run the same x7 480*272 program in my hd device it is the same thing,no chinese font. That shows its not the os or firmware, its just that version of papago itself.

Anybody has the whole program with the chinese fonts working ? Mind to share?
