hi monters,

i have never used x7 before. i am still trying to download another x7 (sept 2010 edition) from your other thread. one probably stupid question: what is envi_data for? where to put them in the papago folder? thanks in advanced.

Hi,

Envi data contains files and supposed to construct the actual terrain condition, in-short to make hills and valleys. It is similar to iGo dem files if you have used iGo before. But as at now, it is not so effective with MFM maps as compared to Taiwan maps. It will only show different shades of darker spots on the map for mountains.

The folder is named ENVI_Data (case-sensitive) and normally, they contain 2 files: TaiwanX.clr and TaiwanX.dem for Taiwan. For M3 version, they contain SGMALX.clr and SGMALX.dem for Malaysia-Singapore.

hi monters,

i have downloaded all the files and placed all appropriate files in its folder. but still it doesn't work. it will not even launch on my pnd. my pnd is windows CE 6 (i think english version) with com 7 and baud 38400. i have chosen the com 7 but i am not sure whether it will also accommodate my baud 38400. i am using MFM R51 map with Taiwan header. did i miss any steps? thanks in advanced.

I think because your pnd is running eng os that right not function....maybe you can flash your pnd into chinene os then run it again!!
