which version is failed? maybe you got not match com..if you have the working papago, check which com port is it? you can also take this working papago_c1.exe (example) and put it to other soft (failed one) ad try to run it...should work.

maybe your problem is around map files, have you put map files inside "maps" folder? what map you use? It should be R21_ files...
