Postby ircglitch » Thu Apr 07, 2011 2:45 am

Hi Nagas,
since OBU Purenavi8 actually is X7 but originally from Taiwan, my best guess is that the other version which are not from M3 or made for SG/MY will not be able to search for the postal code.
Can u direct me to the other version of the OBU so tat i can help in the testing.
thanks.

I got the sw working with search and navi function all working well.

Just to feedback, the happy programs of x3 x5 and purenavi 8 are not able to search for postal code of SG of the malfreemap data.
Only x7 are able to search for the postal code in the malsingmap datae only. I checked this by using the same map data when testing them.

It seems that the other programs are not searching a layer of the data which is for the address with the postal code of SG.
You can check by: Destination-> POI Search-> Scroll Down to the bottom of the menu-> x7 has a added "Address/Postcode" function.
Version other than x7 does not have this function, even when "All POIs" is used to search for all the versions, the engine does not search this special "Address/Postcode" layer.

Is there anyway to solve this? With a mod happy header which can search this layer or ...
Btw is there any x7 version for 480x234 which we can make use of this postal code search function?
Which postal code function is the most important function here in SG.

Many Thanks
And sorry for the trouble

All the OBU version link has giving it to you.....you may try one by one see which one can run on your pnd!

GOOD LUCK BRO!

hi all

I need a 480x234 gps software for my car gps (English version) and support M21 map.
It is basically to be installed into my black box GPS unit AVT NV-02 with the following specs:
SAMSUNG 2440 ARM9 400MHZ, WINCE 5.0 ENGLISH, GPS COM1 4800baud.

What would be the compatible software for it ? I tried Papago X7, it works but screen was cut off. Any other options ?

Thanks
