That's why changing the BMP icon with shadow requires a lot of time and work.
The shadow BMP extracted is where the masking is done to allow transparency.
Without the shadow BMP, all BMP are square and solid. If you notice all shadow
BMP are negative image of the master. Just change the shadow masking and
test according to guide V2

Normally, changing the x and y pos shud do the trick of moving the BMP and do not require changing ID-BTN.....
The only required changing only happens when you have to do selection on a drop down menu or placing the text on the screen
I have tried amd successful changing x3 480x272 to 480x234 but do not have the time to do the rest, that is why I post the tutorial
here so more people understand and can help to complete it.
Since you have tried, you may want to use the x3 project to compare your work

Just a little note, maybe the reason that you cannot press the button/icon is that 2 icons overlap each other

If you just delete one of the BMP (eg. 21.bmp) and then pack PSU (I assume you use PSUsaver). What happens is that it WOULD NOT overwrite the 21.bmp in the mainmenu.psu.
The program just take the BMP number and find it in the right location and then patch the file into it.

the characters in advanced settings is not in the bmp file, it is in the dll file.

Hi, you guys are great. I have a tough time trying to understand.

I have a suggestion but its too late - you guys should worked together earlier to change the X7 Taiwan to English version and launch it as Navitotal X7! before M3GPS X7. But now M3X7 is launched, have to wait till X8....
