Folks:
I've really enjoyed my 7 inch No-Name Chinese GPS unit with Primo 2.4, so I would like to install Primo 2.4 on my Pioneer
AVIC X940BT double DIN car stereo/GPS unit. The 940BT has some flavor of Windows CE, but it has been
tweaked by Pioneer so utilities like Explorer.exe are not included. Pioneer has a utility to allow the 940 to "talk" to a
Windows XP (or better) PC, and has SD chip access, but I haven't worked with these possibilities yet. I believe it may be possible to load Primo on a SD chip for a test.... I think.
The 940BT was released in 2012, and uses Navteq maps. But Pioneer only updates the maps once a year. The POI's are in
even worse shape.
All of which are some of the reasons why I want to change over to Primo 2.4.
Thanks for any help, assistance, or kind words.
Chris
