Amigo complete with TTS-no content-multi res.

In my opinion, this is the best combination of nav program/skin ever created. It is Amigo with freddysam's skin. There is no content but it does have TTS with both English speaking voices [Susan US and Kate UK]. Works 100% on my Mio C320.

You can use content from iGO 8.3 or Primo.

EDIT: Sorry, but I had to re-upload this file. When I first put it together, all the voices worked fine when using the greeting. When I took my device on the street today, there was a lot of stuttering and delay no matter what voice I tried. Therefore the new upload now only contains Susan [US] and she works just fine now. There may have been a memory issue so it needs more of my attention. Sorry but the first download needs to be uninstalled and this one used instead.

I know for a fact that one is 480_272. But I believe that it covers most. Miomoshe also has a good idea here regarding that question.

I downloaded it just to have it... thanks chas. Maybe I'll come back to Amigo or igo8. Nothing against Primo, but I am bored with it already. It does surprise me that you choose Amigo over igo8. Granted FS's skin is nice and all, but still leaves Amigo with a lot less functions that igo8 has.

Tell you why I chose it. Although iGO 8.3 is terrific, Amigo has my nod. It's simplistic. It takes me from point A to point B. I don't have to setup the many options. It has a voice telling me that I'm approaching a red light camera instead of a brass band. It's prettier than iGO. It doesn't require a bloated outside skin. It gets the satellite lock just as quickly. Both can use the same content and share them.

just throwing in my opinion. I actually think Primo is the best among the two. there are some functions (and that green routing gimmick) that primo has that Amigo doesn't.The menu layout in Primo is just slightly better to me. It also seems to run nicer. But overall IGO 8 has by far the most functions, but sometimes it's overkill.

Thanks, chase521

From the small expirience I had with AMIGO I agree with your input.
Can you, or someone else, upload it again, maybe to a more "forgiving" site?

Thanks you,
Danny

Danny the link works just fine. Just be patient after you enter the capcha letters/numbers. Forgiving?

I agree with Chas 100%. I have been using Amigo almost since day one on my C320 and have tried every single skin available. No doubt freddysam's skin is the best, although I may be a little biased as I worked with him (NO, I have no idea what happened to him) on most of his revisions and some of his improvements were my ideas.

Of course I have tried Primo 1.1 and I keep a copy of it on my SD but I use the Amigo exclusively. At this point I don't see any compelling reason why I should switch to Primo, maybe in 6-12 months when it matures more. All this "Green" stuff is good only for Al Gore and his "Global Worming" BS.

@upss

Freddysam had other obligations and had to move on.
