Personally I also would like to go use igo primo 2 on my mio spirit 485.
In dutch language, with lastest BeNeLux (=Belgium Netherlands Luxembourg) map or Western Europe map.
Including at least 1 dutch voice, dutch poi's and dutch speedcam info, would also be higly appreciated.

Currently all download links in this topic are dead.
Sow, is there maybe some1 of you so kind to put up a new link with all the contents I would like to go use?

If you give me a torrent link, I will keep it alive, as my server is on about 7x24 for years already.

So, after erasing the flash, at this moment I cant copy anything to it, so i guess it needs to be unlocked first?

Anybody out there feel the need to unlock me?

If you erase the flash it means you have got a connection with the 485.
So if you have a connection you can copy the files to the 485. Why can you copy anything?
Or have you after erasing the flash disconnected the 485 and later connected it again and now you
don,t see the flash anymore. If so then you have a problem.

What the hack does is that it shows the letter drive of the device on the computer where you can copy/paste individual files to the device. It's not the best but it's better than nothing. Should only really be used when nothing else works.

Here's my report on installing all the software:

The holyhead, either bishop or biblehead or both, was right after all.
The tricky thing for copying to the flash was this:
When the mio software was still on the flash, somehow the drive label in win7 explorer was "Mio Spirit 485 Europe".
After deleting (not formatting) all mio stuff, the drive label was "PND". (= Personal Navigation Device ?)
But the win7 64 sp1 pc needed to restart, or at least log off, to correct the drive label.
I had not done that, so after giving the command to copy all to the empty flash,
windows explorer still thought that the drive label was "Mio Spirit 485 Europe" while it needed refreshing first to work with the actual label that is "PND".

So, I have now everything needed copied to the flash and as far I have tested, all seems to work great now.
First time for me I see this igo primo operating system and I am charmed by it and its functions.
For using it in dutch language, I found only 3 glitches so far:
1) when the device has booted into the first screen with the blue igo primo square button,
the time in the upper left is -09:00 hours from my actual gmt +1 time.
Also when I set time zone to manual.
After pressing the blue square button, and gps signal is found, then the time is correct when working with the system.
When returning to the start screen, the time is -09:00 again.
2) The UI Labs screen is still in English, not in dutch.
3) Two voices are double I guess: Saskia and Willem both exist as a version v1.1 and version v171711.
I guess 1 version is obsolete and could be removed?

As I wrote before, I would like very much to be of your help to keep software alive for download.
So what filename would you like me to give to the igo primo archive?
Maybe a name that is somewhat more easy then "2.Moov S485_(flash_+Primo)_TTS_UK+NL analoog.zip"
for others to understand the contents?

And btw: I have a lot more (animated) smilies from the same series that are included in this website forum. Would any navitotal webmaster be interested in these?

1. Unfortunately, that's been my experience throughout the years. The time changes to the correct time when a satellite lock occurs. If I recall, there was a sys.txt entry that could be made but I'm not too sure how well it worked.
It was something along these lines:

2. Make sure there is the Dutch lang file [keep it zipped] in content\lang..

3. Unless there is a space problem, I wouldn't delete anything especially since the voice file is kinda small.

There is no list for which devices the procedure works. For the most mio devices, it works so Trial and error. Further, it all depends on what people want Igo,Igo Primo,TT etc.
The Primo used is version 8.5.11.155811 dd. Aug 13 2010.

You already noticed that there are newer versions.
Asked Fredderf if there is any need to keep the torrents alive.
