Philips CED1800BT No navigation voice issue

Postby sisasu » Fri Nov 28, 2014 12:31 am

Hi,

I have a new Philips CED1800BT with GPS. Map card is iGO 8, non-legit with Australia map. My problem is I am not getting any sound from the navigation including key tones and other voices. The music from USB and radio works fine. When navigation speaks out or lets out key tone, the playing audio pauses, but no voices from IGo comes out at all. I have gone through the settings and ruled out issues with volume, mute master volume etc etc. The problem persist with the IGO 8 shipped with the unit and IGO primo 2.4 and 2.0 versions I downloaded from this site.

I am not sure if a special version of iGO to operate the hardware sound mixer like Navsure devices may be needed.

I wonder from this post
http://www.navitotal.com/general-discussions-about-igo-core-f87/igo-primo-220394-philips-ced780-wince-help-t15844.html
that a cured version of 9.6.5 may be of help?

This is the sys.txt of IGO 8 which came with the unit.

Try putting this in your sys.txt:

[tts]
tts_buffer=131072
announce_exit_directions=1
tts_logics=3
priority="HIGH"
always_say_road_names=1
announce_street_name=1
skip_exit_numbers=0
supress_trivial_left=0
supress_trivial_right=0

[dynamiccompressor]
compressor=1
a0=56806
thrs=24703
ratio=8
gain=10
If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Added in my sys.txt, but unfortunately didn't bring the sounds back.
