I'm using Primo 2.4-9.6.13.267029 with full western Europe NQ 2015 Q2 maps on though only using uk at the moment works great. Yet to try some skins I have diMkaWA_P170 to try when time

Me neither.
Some like the looks. But I am not impressed. Or not yet

So you have licenses for all features of Nextgen (buildings, landmarks, alert points, address points, driver alerts, junction views, Smart Routes, etc)? When I looked at it, I could only get the basics working - maps and pois. None of the other content worked (they are all listed as inactive in the Contents listing)....

What strikes me is that using IGO8, one needs 1 (one) license.
For Primo having all features, one needs 6 licenses out of ...? Plenty, but 6 cover all.
And NextGeneration? It's full of licenses. Also a new license required for every update of the maps.

With the help of jtrosky, I just fixed up my Primo and it works perfect now. No more crashes! :)

I've been using iGo products since iGo 2006 and was really impressed with each new incarnation of their products (well, except for Amigo maybe!). Just wasn't the case with "NextGen"... Seems to have went backwards graphically...

Another thing I miss from early iGo products is the split-screen functionality that was preset in 2006SE! iGo 8 was a pretty big upgrade - as was Primo. NextGen? Not so much...

@RabidRich - glad to hear that everything is working well with Primo 2.4 (9.6.13.405512). Currently my favorite release...

For me Igo8 and Primo are almost inseparable.
I have got two version: Igo8 version 8.3.4.142975 with GJ6.18.5 and Primo 9.6.13.267029 with diMka NK skin. Primo is configured to use the same 'content' folder as igo8. I am using both versions - igo8 is much better for vague and unformed route planing, especially when you are looking for something and you don't know exactly what it is - it pans and zoom fast in 2d mode, you can easilly add or remove route points piscking points from map, you can change points order, add few points at once without recalc after ever one like Primo does. Primo in planning mode is pain in the ass - always starts in 3d, zoomout limit makes you to switch to 2d, but sometimes it automaticly returns from 2d to 3d mode or to actual gps positon during points searching. Igo8 also has in my opinion better visualisation in both 2d/3d mode, except terrain rendering in 3d mode with primo is nicer (e.g. mountain roads). For real navigation i am using Primo, because it has better map changer (with poi changer), routes recalc is better (igo8 in the city is strongly 'glued' to original route, Primo is able to change route to different streets much easier - but it is not evidence, rather my impression, maybe some program setting can change this). Route planning is uncomfortable, but if you already know all the points, it is easy. Primo also has better tts voices support, tmc is available in my country (Poland) only for Primo (but it is only gadget, in real world it is completly usless, tmc providers neglect their job - e.g. there was not info about closed road during 1 year rebuilding of one of main streets in Cracow...), with my navigation device (toshiba tg01) gps behave better with Primo - with igo8 sometimes fix is lost and can't reacquire signal, don't know the reason of such behavior.

Without going into a big explanation, I find that iGO8 is better in NA than Primo. Primo is very good in some other locations but it has given me some strange routing whereas iGO8 and Amigo were spot on. JMO.

chas521 - many thanks for the iGO8 full program/folder that you posted 3+ years ago (8.3.5.183522). It has worked well on my Mio-C320. For many months I have been experiencing reboots. When the C320 reboots it will always be upon power-up, and most of the time it will recover itself to navigation mode (to the cockpit view). Occasionally it will behave like a full reboot and I will have to tap the icon to start the navigation program. But once up and running the unit runs very well. Just curious if you see similar behavior? Do you still run this software on your C320? Could there be something simple to explain this behavior? Overall I have to say I am quite happy with the way my C320 keeps on "keeping on."

Yes, that's the program on my Mio C320. It works perfectly and does not experience your behavior. Please know that it's not the program that is most important but the contents therein. Did you change any of the settings in the sys.txt? Sometimes, deleting the save folder eliminates problems.
