Cannot transfer waypoionts from Mapsource to Garmin XT

Hello,

can anyone please help me, i am not able to transfer waypoints and routes from mapsource to my Chinese GPS with garmin 5.00.30wpASN software.
i can transfer the maps but not the waypoints. i tried a replacing the gpx file into the garmin gpx folder but still nothing?

Hi Alex.
Before starting transfer from MapSource, be sure that you have already started Garmin software on GPS.
This way, Garmin will import automaticaly your routes, waypoints, tracks.
At least, it works with Garmin 5.00.20wp on WinCE device.

Well i already tried that, also i change to Active Sync, because when i connect usb to Pc it recognizes at mass storage, then i cannot run garmin.
How can i copy them straight to the folder? where are they stored? i tried into garmin\gps nothing...
Also when i connect usb while garmin is working, after 15 sec garmin is closing down with some error

Alex, you cannot copy direct to Garmin folders. Its a special format.
I tried for a long time to export waypoints and routes to Garmin on WinCE.
Only maps and POI's can be copied to Garmin folder.

The suggestion that I gave to you, I found it on another forum.
"Turn device USB to ActiveSync mode, connect device to PC, launch Garmin.
Start export waypoints and routes from Mapsource. The device will import them automaticaly."

Don't connect the device to PC while Garmin is running.

It works for me. I didn't try with 5.00.30wp version.
I have a MioC520 and I succeeded with an Asus R700 also.
What device do you have?

Okay so you are saying to export them via active sync while garmin is starting, right? Because if i connect usb while garmin is working, garimin will shut down.
Also i have 6 inch China GPS with 4gb sd gard, i think 128mb rab and 500mhz processor.

I have tried with almost all versions :
V5.00.20wp works, but sometimes it cannot recognize the map and crashes
V5.00.30wp works better, but when i combine two maps, a lot of towns are missing in some of the countries.
V5.00.10 is not starting showing some port error

I also manage to modify the garmin.msc file couple times, but no luck.

do you have some version that is sure will work on this one?

Sorry Alex, but the only version that works on my device is 5.00.20wp.
I also have a 5.00.30wp version, but I didn't tested yet on route.

Ok, thank you for this, i will try this one too, there are a lot of 5.00.20wp versions, i think :-)

Hey guys, here is what happend.
If i install version 5.00.20wp Garmin starts fine, and i can connect with active sync and transfer the way points and routes, but there is no way to unlock City Navigator 2011. Only Adria works. And crashes when i press "where am i" and "detailed maps"

If i install version 5.00.30wp ASN-Artful Garmin stars fine, but when i connect it with active sync, nothing happens, i cannot transfer routes. But both City navigator 2011 and Adria are working. And its crashing only on some specific selection, deep in the menu. But when i make route from one map to another, a lot of towns are missing in some countries.
