Cannot load map... Detailed maps are required to use this feature... map are unavailable wheb the device is in USB mass storage mode.. Go to asus website for more info...

I've done the above, except putting my own map, just want to check it works OK first.

It doesn't work for me. "Garmin" start-up stays on the screen, locked. Explorer runs and the taskbar is hidden OK.

I was going to copy my map, but there's already on there called GMAPPROM1.img, can I overwrite it?

Anybody have this working?

My GPS: 800x480, 128mb, WinCE6, 4gb Resident Flash, 2gb TF card (SDMMC)

you must use 2 maps, GMAPPROM.img & GMAPPROM1.img

example GMAPPROM.img = Garmin City Navigator Singapore Malaysia NT 2012.20

GMAPPROM1.img = malfree_2012_20

I have replaced GMAPPROM1.img with my own, unlocked map (renamed to GMAPPROM1.img).

I ran "garmin.exe", explorer runs, taskbar hides, "Garmin" screen appears. Then nothing else happens, it stays frozen on that screen.

There is a GMAPPROM.img, which the uploader states:

Do not delete gmapprom.img in system folder. Rename your map file to GMAPPROM1.img then put in system folder.

So, I've done that now.

But even without doing anything, it should have just run, it appears to have maps (although not for my area). It has unlock files.

Anybody else able to run this?

When I click in icone map this massage appear : "cannot load map detailed maps are required to use this feature..... maps are required to use...... is in USB mass storage mode go to asus website for more info...."
My gps is BAK , 128Mb, win ce 6.0 ans resolution 800X480.

I have been trying to make work a SDMMC copy for 800x480 but I am not able to save any settings because my machine card is SD Memory. I have tried to edit Que_CE5 but there is no hint to where to make it like on GMXT5.00.30

Can you tellme how to change Que_CE5 (5.52) to SD Memory??
