Put Garmin XT on SD Card, then try to run it from there! How is recognized SD CARD by your device?
Ok, I decided to put Garmin on SD card and 100% it work....Big thanks.

Garmin mobile XT doesn't support TTS, TTS support is possible just on some of Garmin PNA devices.

Congrats to downunder 35m, this is by far the best (only) version that works on my ce6 2din,
Aside for the non-english keyboard which I thought was the only hiccup, and only a minor glitch - I have fround one other minor annoyance - I can't send gpx waypoints to the SD card (whereas on the previous CE5 5.02 version I could). After the gpx file were sent to the card I could then convert the gpx file to a poi file with Garmin software and have the waypoints appear as small dots. This was really helpful for off road 4x4 navigation. Now with this version, when trying to load waypoints, mapsource says it has successfully sent the points but they never actually appear in the gpx folder (of the sd card) - and if you ask mapsource to upload back to the pc - it then says that there are NO waypoints on the card.
ANY ONE WITH ANY IDEAS????

What's problem with non - english keyboard?
Then manually make waypoints in mapsource, and use File, Save AS, and export them in garmin exchange format - .gpx on your desktop, and then just copy-paste it in gpx folder on your sd card. That's not big deal to do manually?

Thanks for the suggestions,
1. Problem with keyboard - not really Kb problem but when you ask to searck (say cities) it gives a Chinese KB and you have to select abc on the bottom taskbar to get an english interface - as I said no biggie.
2. Already able to get gpx files into the gpx folder on the sd card BUT it doesn't "see" these points????? - I found the previous version to be the same - BUT on the previous version (ce 5.02) if I also found that if I used these gpx points and ran Garmin POI converter to make a poi file (which resides in the gpi folder), then the program would display these poi's - at 30 & 50m zoom (only), nevertheless usable.
This new version just doesn't see the POI loaded in the poi folder.

1. Try to use button search before post and to read all previous pages! Fix for kb is on this thread already posted!!!
http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2329-Garmin-Mobile-XT-CE-for-Chinanavi-with-800x480&p=14661#post146612. Then, put that poi files in POI folder inside main Garmin folder, and try then!?

helumad how can you expect some help, if you wrote 2-3 words about nothing !? Whey you ask something, usually is to write more details, and your situation exacty!
Your device, specification, OS, etc. ?
For gps ports, some of pnas needs port splitter cause garmin xt for win ce doesn't see their ports ok, and you need to use port splitter for initialization of gps ports.. Or to set them manually if you can on your OS and try in Garmin XT, if you cant, then you have to use port splitter.
I can't understand you well, write more understandable...

Hi there
As you can see I am new to this forum. So hello to all you guys and gals out there.
I have been working with the mobile xt on various GPS units. I have hardly ever experience problems. I managed to get it working on normal 3.5" gps units and also double dins with wince 5.0
However now ordered a couple of the 800x480 double din radios for reselling purposes. They have wince 5.0. I loaded the normal mobile xt which I used on all the other units that i've done and the garmin loads, but would just quit when I click on the "Go to" -> food or anything else. I can view the map and all. From what I read on the forum thus far that it needs a special 800x480 version which you "downunder35" have made.
My unit shows that the memorycard is addressed as "StorageCard" in windows. I downloaded the different versions that you have created for the different storage card names and tried all but non work. If I run the Que.exe file from the explorer, it gives an error message. Because it's in chinese, i cant say what exactly is the message but it seems like a message when you try to launch a program and windows say that this is a non-windows compatible file or corrupted file.
I downloaded your menu system and that runs fine except for 1 or 2 utilities.
The Igo maps system also runs perfect on the system.
I tried running the executibility checker, but it just flashes on the screen and then dissappears.
I have been spending many many hours on this and am now really really getting frustrated and it's plenty money thats now tied up in these 4 units.
Any help would be greatly appreciated frorm you guys out there.
Thanks alot

The Garmin XT 800x480 works great for my China HU. However I got a map problem, the map doesn't seems to be centralise. Part of the map from the left went to the right side. Anybody got same problem? I'm using this version of map "Garmin City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT 2010.20".
