To artfull: Thanks for your reply. I read all the pages at the link that you indicate, but I'm confused about what I should do. I suspect that the directory structure of GMTX currently installed is different from that envisaged for the thread -> “Garmin XT 5.52 (Garmin Asus M10) for WINCE 6 (800x480)”. If possible could you indicate where I can download GMTX compatible with the topic? Merry Christmas and thank you.

I installed the version available on first page of the thread in my 2 DIN auto DVD 800x480. This version works very well and the only limitation is the absence of warnings alerts on POI proximity.

Hi,
My Garmin also keep on locating GPS and cannot find the GPS Device.
Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

For the satellite problem:
Make sure you are under a free sky, the first lock can take up to 10 min on some devices.
If still no luck you might want to try a port splitter like GPS gate.
There are even devices that need to initialize the GPS receiver first, so if your device has a GPS check in the system use it to get a sat lock with at least 5 sats first, than start Garmin.
Once Garmin had a succesful lock and kept it for a few minutes you should be fine at the next start.

Hi there,

I've got a Chinese DVD/Navigation unit in my Toyota Hilux. When i go to the "version" screen, it gives me the following details about the system:

CPU: LTA4_20110915 NORMAL
OS: FEC 6.0 core
API Ver: LT-API-Class3 -1.19 (build on Sep 15 2011 17:54:40)
MCU Ver: 0 1.16_8880_HSD6.2_BD3702_TDA7540 NK ver:110505vCH
FLASH Capacity: 89M Byte FLASH free: 22M Byte
RAM Capacty: 109M Byte RAM free: 64M Byte
GPS port: COM2 9600

I've installed "Garmin_StorageCard_800_Another way" which I downloaded from somewhere (Have been struggling so long I cannot remember where).
The thing is, the program is working 100%. Only a few bugs I hope you guys can help me with.

1st: when starting, everything is in some foreign language and you have to navigate your way to the language settings and change it to english. Everytime I go out of the program or switch the unit off, all the settings are gone and you get the foreign language once again.

2nd: When trying to navigate to an adress, the only input option is a very small keyboard (Which I think is the WinCE keyboard) and even while stationary, it's close to impossible to use.

3rd: When the unit has been switched off for a while the Navigation link (NAVI Button) does not react at all. I first have to go to the options menu, Change the Garmin directory to StorageCard/Garmin/Apps/WM/Garmin.exe and try to run it. It then gives me an audible warning sound and nothing else. I then have to go back to the options menu, change the Garmin directory to StorageCard/Garmin/Apps/WM/Que.exe. It then immediately launches when pressing the Navi button and goes to the first foreign language screen. I then change the language and voila!! Garmin is fully functional with excellent satellite reception. It's not laggy at all and I'm very impressed with it.

Only thing I'm begging from you guys now, Please help me to sort out the bugs. As soon as it's 100% sorted i'll upload the fully functional application files.

I know that these problems might have already been covered earlier in the post or in another post but i'm from South Africa and i've got a pathetic internet line speed. I'm so sick of waiting for pages to open that I've given up searching and am begging for help, PLEASE?

This is the unit I've bought: [Please Register or Login to download file]

Thanks for any help in advance.......

You don't really think we support files from "somewhere" ?
We provide support for the usual problems related to the device and to our files, but not for stuff from unknown sourse.
Either way use our files or ask for support in the same place where you got the files ;)

I have downloaded your files. Took me about 4 hours to do it but i've got it:chok_mini:. Will try it over the weekend and let you know. Thanks in advance.

Thanks to the many contributors, finally got everything running under ce6 on 1din chinese system (128mg with samsung processor type common on evil bay)
Ended up using the Garmin Storagecard Oz.7z with a few edits to get it up. (only low res on 800x480 screen but at least its working and maps are running. Next step will be to load 800x480 files one at a time till all good. Only issue is english reverts to chinese every reboot. Deal with that l.ater
