Garmin Mobile XT CE for Chinanavi with 800x480

Garmin Mobile XT version 5.00.20wp starts, however when my device tries to obtain a GPS signal, no signal is found. I have tried the following GPS settings:
1. Use Bluetooth GPS
2. Use GPS intermediate driver
3. Use serial GPS (COM1: TMC_COM, COM2: SirFNavDrv, COM3: COM3:, COM5: GPS_COM
Also tried changing GPS settings within Port Splitter and then run "Garmin.exe". After "Garmin.exe" is executed, message from Port Splitter displays "Unable to open input port" and then Garmin loads.

Can this be fixed?

Thanks. I had created a "SW.UNL" file but I didn't think about creating "gmapsupp.UNL" file (map on SD card), since the map was already unlocked. Had trouble finding Map id but i managed to work it out, using a program called "Garmin Map ID Finder" (might help others out if in same situation). Garmin software version 5.00.20wp runs well now, without issues.

Would it be difficult to get Garmin XT 5.5.20 working For WinCE 5, 480x272 resolution, on "Storage Card"? Garmin.exe failing to load, must be because of incorrect settings / paths in .MSCR files and .XML files. Are there tools out that can assist me with fixing paths? Sorry if this may sound like a silly question but can i import some settings / application paths from current version (5.00.20wp) and transfer it over to new version (5.5.20)?

Noticed Garmin Mobile XT version 5.00.20wp doesn't support following features by default:
1. Lane assistant
2. Junction views
3. Automatic speech recognition
4. NüRoute technology with trafficTrends

Can these be easily added by creating scripts within "GarminDevice.XML"? If this isn't possible, can you please help me run Garmin XT 5.5.20?

Guys, you are forgetting one big thing:
All CE versions are "hacked" from an old WM version of Garmin,
since only proper Garmin devices support nice gadgets you can't expect them to work on a CE system.
In fact you should be grateful if it works without major problems ;)
Ce and! WM are dying operating systems, the future is nemed Android and Linux.
You can see that nicely on the falling prices for CE based GPS systems, now even the first Android based in-car-systems are popping up.
If you can have a car stereo supporting Android, you won't use CE anymore;)
So everyone is popping out old stock for a low price.
A good tab is available for under 200$ and most of the Android software is available in the forum - think about it ;)
I tried Navionics nautical charts in an emulator and must say for the price no Garmin device can compete.
Same for many other mapping problem: you'll find a solution for Android...

As Downunder35m pointed out in his post, Garmin Mobile XT is only a BASIC program for WinCE. It was developed for WinCE from Linux Garmin. There is not much you can edit with it. It pretty much only gets you from point A to point B. Forget about adding bells and whistles. Forget about TTS.

Instead of 5.52 for your 480_272 why not just use mine?

1. Modified GIR for 480x272 screen (if not can you please provide link)
Also, was the program set up correctly for "Storage Card"? Do i need to modify XML & MSCR files etc?

Garmin failed to load after trying to run Garmin.exe or Que_full.exe. How could this happen? Please can we have another attempt with Garmin XT 5.52? Sorry, i know that version isn't your release.

You're knocking yourself out trying to make a Garmin program happen. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I would like to make a decent attempt at successfully installing Garmin Mobile XT 5.5.20 onto SD card labeled "Storage Card", which supports device specs (WinCE 5, 480x272 screen resolution, 128MB SD-RAM). The main reason for upgrading software version is to support features as outlined in post #608.

So why are you asking if the answer is in post #609? ;)
The WM version it came from had no such features, so if Garmin does not produce a Windows CE/WM version with the feature you want,
why do you think it could be added for you?
Simple solution: take a software that has the features you need or buy a proper Garmin GPS ;)

i tried alot to run but it starts and shows the blue screen with Chinese icons then after the status bar disappear it close.
i have the Chinese unit 2 din for Camry 2007 with wince6 for processor i think it is 500-600 and ram is 128
i put the whole file in Garmin folder at the root of the SD card i renamed the card SDMMC and i removed the que.exe from app and replaced it with the Garmin SDMMC after i renamed it to que.exe.
so what i made wrong?
