Hi huntsman,

Garmin Mobile PC can't be installed on my PC, the installer says : "Previous Garmin Mobile PC Installation not found! The install is going to stop."
It doesn't work, even if I use the registry key "MobilePCfix.reg" !

Is Garmin Mobile PC Ver. 5.00.70 just an update ?
Do you have a previous version of Garmin Mobile PC ?
How to do ?

Need your help !

Thank you.

Bye.

IT FINALLY WORKS ! I FOUND HOW TO DO !

I added some more informations in the registry key "MobilePCfix.reg" to make it work with a 64bits Operating System (I use Windows 7 64bits edition).

Here is the text you have to write in the registry key:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Garmin\Que]
"QuePath"="C:\\GarminMobilePC\\Que.exe"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Garmin\Que]
"QuePath"="C:\\GarminMobilePC\\Que.exe"

Yes, that is correct, you also can extract .EXE file eg. Winrar and install with .MSI

Hi,

I didn't succeed to install "City Navigator NT Maps" in "Garmin Mobile PC 5.00.70g".
I created an ".img" file ("gmapsupp.img") using "MapSource 6.16.3 Patched version" and I unlocked it with "Garmin Unlocker Alternative v5.8".
I put the unlocked ".img" file in the Garmin Mobile PC directory (sometimes MapSource directly recognizes the Garmin Mobile PC directory, sometimes it doesn't) and the map is detected by Garmin Mobile PC.
I know it's detected because I can see it in: Tools -> Manage My Data -> Map Sets -> Built-in maps C:\GarminMobilePC\ -> City Navigator Europe NT 2011.30.

...BUT I CAN'T SEE THE MAP ITSELF !!!!! (I can only see the icon of the vehicle)

Could you tell me if the map is viewable only if I have a GPS connected to my PC ? (At least for first use of Garmin Mobile PC)

Any ideas ?

Thank you.
Bye.

Make a .img smaller than 2GB, 2011.30 is 2.01GB and you can't see it in Mobile PC

Of course, Mobile PC is not compatible with WinCE. You have to use Mobile XT for WinCE.
