Possible to use MapSetName.txt like previous versions? Looks like having option to change names are removed?

Sorry if I missed it. but I want to get this straight.

- I unlocked a g2 map using the software(HXAW005R). it unlocked successfully returning a file called UnLocked_HXAW005R.

- Do I copy this file to my SD card and put it in my Chartplotter directly (GPSMAP 4212)? or do I have to rename it to GMAPSUPP.img and put it on the SD card?

- Finally, is my unit ID or Serial number not required as it doesnt ask me, or is that the purpose of the unlocking?

Don't have a 4212 but I would try the nbew file as.
sd:\garmin\gmapsupp.img

Your Unit or SD ID/serial number is generally only required when using a keygen.

Unlocking does away with the need for a keygen and .unl file

It will never huret to experiment with an SD card.

Cool. It worked flawlessly...making a garmin folder and calling the file gmapsupp.img did it. Thanks and regards!

How do I dowload files? I press thanks but than I get many sites with "thanks"?

Try pressing reload or refresh after pressing thanks.

Hello All! I have Nuvi 55lmt, trying to "make" map Europe 2015.30 NTU - does not work, says " maps damaged, maps is not unlocked."
in the older navigator Nuvi 1200 all works, and i tried in Nuvi 140 LM-all works.
Any thoughts?

I recently purchase nüviCam™ LMTHD Software Version 2.3. all my attempts failed to unlock "City Navigator Europe NT 2015.2" & "City Navigator Middle East & North Africa NT 2015.2". On the IMG I tried
Gimgunlock.exe
Fast IMG Unlocker 2.1
Protected Garmin file toolkit_2254
UnlockerAlternativev6.0.2, 7.1.6 & 8.0.1
on the Mapsource I tried
UnLock MapSource 2011 v2.2
UnLock MapSource 2014 V5.0
I tried also Garmin Mouse to create UNL file

Any advise
