I got the echo map 42 with the new software 13.50
But it wouldnt with me like the previous software 13.30 did
Is there a solution for that issue?

What HWID has your Device? 2077 (nüvi 2xx7 C4) or 1582 (nüvi 2xx7)?
I guess it is 2077 (nüvi 2xx7 C4) but verify in your GarminDevice.xml file. This is FUNDAMENTAL

Hi all,
I'm new to the garmin section and have been reading through some of the threads but there's a lot of info to take in and I'm not the sharpest tool in the box with stuff like this.

I'm trying to figure out if I could put up to date UK maps on a Nuvi 55LM that currently has southern EU maps installed (15 southern EU)

The sat nav has lifetime maps but I guess that refers to the southern EU map, I can't see garmin allowing me to get the UK maps for free, so I guess it would be something like putting the maps on my old Tom Tom ?

Gratefully for any advice on this.

Your nuvi 55 will need to be Patched to use Unlocked maps,confirm your HWID is 1697 by looking in your garmindevice.xml

The nuvi 55 does come in a budget version with regional Lifetime map updates, Southern Europe among others.
The good news is once your device is Patched you will be able to use any Unlocked map shared here ,even the whole of Europe with the use of an SD card.
or replace the current map on the device with UK & ROI

I don't know of any patch to enable track" APP,using FW from another device could leave you with a Brick.

Yes, but why the Patch you used is to enable your device to use Unlocked maps ,it does not effect your Lifetime map updates.

Thank you GarmanNuvi. Do you have any tutorial of how to revert in case I need it?

And can you please recommend any Nuvi model that has wifi and/or bluetooth and can follow GPX files? I might try to find a used one because I really need to open and follow GPX trails.
Or I need to take my chances and try to flash a different firmware here on my drivesmart 50. Any suggestions what might work?
