Universal Firmware Patcher for Protected Garmin Devices

Hello, i have a GPSMAP 66sr and an ALPHA 200i, i searched this topic for a while and as it looks both devices aren't currently supported by this patch, if i understand that right??

So i wanted to ask if there is another way to circumvent the 500 tile limit for KMZ files, for these devices, that currently works?

The 66sr is well considered for a patch for everything including JNX maps better than KMZ.

Hi I have a new GPSMAP 65S HWID 3725 on software 4.50. I've downloaded the above gcd file. I cannot find a gcd file on my device. How do I install this patched firmware on my device? I have tried putting the gcd file on an sd card but that does not work.

The latest patched version for GPSMap 66s (B3028) available is 9.60 from ~Nov/21. Garmin has released 3 new firmware updates in the meantime, the latest official is 10.20 now with a lot of bugfixes in 9.90.

Is it possible to patch the latest firmware 10.20?

I'm having issues with the Garmin Drive series - the maps unlock ok but the Garmin unit says maps are corrupt when I turn it on. My additional maps are in a folder called "Map" on the device. It seems to recognise them as it says new maps have been installed, but then I get the corrupt error message.

I moved your post, as you most probably need to Patch the device Firmware first to recognise Unlocked maps.
As you don't give any model detail we don't even know if your device can be patched.
look in your garmindevice.xml for the HWID Example in the post above.

@GarminNuvi sorted it out - got utility-program downloaded, did patching myself on DriveAssist 51 LMT-S and it now accepts custom maps. Have not tested if activating BirdsEye works or not, no need for this.

attempts to send ad-ware package when u download on MAC to u instead of real stuff. Same name but .dmg applied to it be aware.

That's good as the SD card Patch Kit is only to enable Unlocked maps .
