Unfortunately it looks like Drive, DriveSmart 52,55,65,66,76,86, zumo XT ,Alpha 200i, Montana 700 are all in the same category.
No solution as the Universal Firmware Patcher does not recognise the new format.

Don't know what has caused this ,but it seems like your device is soft bricked .You can use Cure to unbrick it and reinstall original firmware. Should NOT require formatting

Thanks for the link.
I don't find my HWID.
My 700 is at software version 6.10.
-Can I install the patched 6.00?
-Will this be updated by Garmin Express?
-Can I install the original 6.00 ([Please Register or Login to download file] ... r__600.gcd)
-Will this be udated by Garmin Express?

Tbanks.

Look in your garmindevice.xml. ONLY the HWID confirms the correct Firmware
<PartNumber>006-Bxxxx-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>600</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>Oregon 700</Description>

If 2512 only 6.00 is available with Garmin Express.

Oregon 7xx (WebUpdater) 006-B2512-00 Release 6.00

[Please Register or Login to download file]
look in your Garmin folder for GUPDATE.GCD and share it
or if you updated it yourself look in
C:\ProgramData\Garmin\CoreService\Downloads\PrimaryFirmware\PrimaryFirmware_PrimaryFirmware.006-B2512-00.6.00\gsup\006-B2512-00

Sorry, I am not sure how to reply correctly to your answer, can you explain?

My garmindevice.xml says:
<PartNumber>006-B2512-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>610</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>Oregon 700</Description>

I am not sure how V610 got to the device. I bought the 700 last year, maybe it was already on it or Garmin Express updated my 700 to V610.
I can't find updateinfo about V610.

Is the problem with the 2026.10 map due to checks in V610?

Be sure to remove/back up all Birdseye images on the device before using the Patch, they can be restored after.

Hello, I have the alpha 100 with the information attached at the end of the message. I want to make the patch to be able to use .jnx maps that I already have on my computer. In this case, would I just have to make the patch and put the .jnx in the garmin/BirdsEye folder?

<SoftwareVersion>860</SoftwareVersion>

Many Thanks for providing Topo Switzerland v2 Pro.

How can I use the winter image file on an etex 30x? Afer copying d6604010a.img to the Garmin folder on an SD Card, I did end up with "Can't authenticate maps. Contact the seller for help." Adding gmapsupp.img to the same directory did not solve anything.

If possible, please provide a "dummy" guide for Linux users. I do not recall what I did to get the swisstopo workin on the old etrex30 (that broke...).

thx /che

Thanks for your prompt reply.

In the garmindevice.xml I did find:

<PartNumber>006-B2250-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>300</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>eTrex 30x</Description>

I did look around on this board, and think I did find the correct URL:
post189178.html?hilit=2250#p189178

After rebooting my etrex 30 did not explain about any map on the sd card. Hope to see coming weekend that I do find ski routes on the map.
Many thanksfor your help & best wishes
