Is it possible to patch ECHOMAP UHD2? I read that it is supposedly impossible

That's what I've read too. I don't know any more about Marine devices than you do.

Download and unpack GUPDATE_Patched_JNX.GCD on to the PC where your device is attached.Your desktop is easy

Then you can drag-and-drop GUPDATE_Patched_JNX.GCD onto the WebUpdater "Short cut icon" on your desktop.

Unfortunately it has encrypted firmware
Processing file I:\Garmin\GUPDATE.GCD

Firmware version as specified in GCD file: 24.56 for Unknown device (HWID 3843).
File format not recognized.
