A friend changed the "page code" in 1252 Topo Germany V8 cards (original page code 65001) and Topo Italia V5 (original page code 65001) and could read them on his GPSMAP 66s without problems and without having patched the firmware with IMG-Patcher, an explanation?

I'm using a Drive 50 LMT EU and would like to install North-America maps. After trying all usefull suggestions on the forum, I'm still not able to install unlocked maps. Details of my Nuvi:
1. Drive 50 LMT
2. FW = 5.90
3. HWID = 2267

Could you help me out on this one?

Your Device needs to be Patched You're better asking in the universal firmware patcher for protected garmin devices thread.

I just managed to install the patched 5.90 firmware. Took me some reading around on other sides. Biggest issue was getting the Nuvi 50 in pre-boot and the updater to work together.

Hello, I have been unlocking Garmin devices for awhile now using the Universal Firmware patcher technique. However a lot of the new Garmin Devices don't work with this method and require a generous Admin/poster to make a SD card unlock kit to unlock it. Is it possible to post a tutorial for the SD Card Kit unlock method?
