Hi guys! I have expirienced strange problem, i have updated few garmin echomap 62 cv an 72 cv's, with modified firmware and they can use unlocked maps, but on garmin 72dv I cant load map from your forum HXEU718L that has 3 img files. Same map works on 62cv and 72cv. I have tried few garmin unlockers, also jet mouse with unl file doesnt work. Maybe some ideas? Tnx a lot

After familiarizing myself with this thread for few hours, I came to a conclusion safest option is to ask nicely... is there a possibility to include Echomap Ultra models to the Echomap patch? Or is this a case of having hardware to test before publishing?

Garmin has also updated UHD/Ultra software to 15.10 in the link provided. I see it's customary to include PartNumber so here it goes:

Unfortunately it looks like Drive, DriveSmart 52,55,65, zumo XT ,Alpha 200i, Montana 700 are all in the same category.
No solution as the Universal Firmware Patcher does not recognise the new format.

I have Drive Assist 50 LMT-D with the following installed when it was purchased.
CN EUROPE NTU 2021.10 FOURSQUARE
CN EUROPE NTU 2021.10 UK |& IRELAND
and
CN EUROPE NT 2018.19 ALL installed on the sd card by copying image and renaming to gmapsupp.img

All working well

So I wanted to update the European Map to 2021..

I have used MapManager and MapInstall on my Mac to install the City Navigator Europe 2021.10 NT FID 8356 Unlocked map on my SD card . (City_Navigator_Europe_NT_2021_10.gmap)

The install completed , but when I boot the Garmin - on startup I get "Maps are corrupt and cannot be used"

On the Garmin In settings and Maps - I don't se the new map - just the existing UK map

When I look in the SD 'MAP' folder I see City Navigator Europe NT 2021.1.img -

I have also tried downloading the single file gmapprom.img and copied and renamed to gmapsupp.img and placed in Map folder on the SD card and get the same error.

I have reformatted the sd card with fat32 and tried the same process above and still get the same error

Has anybody got a clue what going on and what I have missed ??

You need to patch the firmware. Read this thread software/universal-firmware-patcher-for-protected-garmin-devices-t17987.html
