Do you happen to have the patched firmware for a Garmin dezl 770LM? I tried installing the patched firmware I found earlier in the thread for the same device with the same hardware version, but I'm still unable to load maps. I get a message saying the map is corrupt. When the patched firmware was installing, a message showed up saying that the firmware I was trying to install was older than the one on the device and all the user data would be erased. I pressed OK or Yes and it looked like it worked, but I still have the same firmware as before the patch showing up, so I don't think it worked. Thanks in advance.

Maybe the maps are locked, you can use Gimgun to unlock them.Just drag & drop .img onto gimgunlock-0.04.exe Icon/File

Thanks for the reply. I have the 154.bin file on my SD card. The post you linked is the one I got the patched firmware from. I checked the garmindevice.xml and it's the same as before. Still showing 530. I downloaded Gimgun, but I don't think the map is locked. I got the map from this site and it's supposed to be unlocked.

Try to use the updated search and replace patterns file for the patcher:
- Code:

Hello,
I am looking for a GUPDATE.GCD firmware for the Gpsmap 65s.
The latest Firmware Patcher 3.80 does not seem to patch the firmware of the 65S. I haven't read or seen it.

Hello Guys,
First of all I want to say one BIG thank you for the information you share here - It's priceless!
Now I need for you help.
I bought second hand Garmin Drive 40 with HWID 2267. It has lifetime update on maps, but only for Eastern Europe. I want to upload to device maps for all Europe. I know that I firstly need to patch the firmware and then flash the unit. I download the firmware form Garmin website via WebUpdater. Patch the firmware, but in the information that patcher print I saw the following:
Processing file C:\Users\PCUser\Downloads\IMGPatcher_2.20_15-10-19\IMGPatcher v2.20 as of 15-10-19\DriveandDriveSmart40_50_590.gcd
Firmware version as specified in GCD file: 5.90 for Drive and DriveSmart 40/50.
Firmware name: Firmware version 5.90 for Unknown device (Device ID is empty).
Applying rule set MSV... Ok.
Applying rule set GVS... Ok.
GCD signature removed.
File patched successfully.
The result is saved to C:\Users\PCUser\Downloads\IMGPatcher_2.20_15-10-19\IMGPatcher v2.20 as of 15-10-19\DriveandDriveSmart40_50_590_Patched.gcd
I'm worried about following row: Firmware name: Firmware version 5.90 for Unknown device (Device ID is empty)
I need your opinion on the following thing: Could I make a mistake if I use RGN Tool and manually add HWID (in my case 2267) for the unit and then to flash it?
Thank you in advance!
P.S. Sorry for my bad English!

Changes made from version 5.30 to 5.90: 13th March 2021
Added support for the inReach Remote feature (Setup > ANT Sensor > inReach Remote).
Improved geocache proximity alarms.
Fixed page flow when clearing the current activity.
Fixed issue with updating the value displayed from a cadence sensor.
Fixed issue with programming a Chirp.
Fixed possible shutdown when sending a Quick Text from inReach Remote.
This is a Patched Firmware (JNX) for Garmin Oregon 7xx ver. 5.90
Since the Garmin Oregon 7xx (HWID: 2512) does not have GSV and falls into category 2 MSV: YES, GSV: ---
The Patched Firmware allows reading Unlocked Maps, including NTU and TOPO Maps with CP 65001.
The Patched Firmware allows reading of Birdseye JNX images as well.
Be sure to remove/back up all Birdseye images on the device
before using the
Patch, they can be restored after
This "Patched" Firmware can be loaded with WebUpdater

Your advice was helpful to me - It gave me peace of mind.
Last night I finally had time to flash the device. Flash it successfully. I had some small issue with webupdater and timing, but now everything is OK. After firmware update the unit (Garmin Drive 40 with HWID 2267) did not read the maps. I restored the device to factory settings (Erase all user data) and everything fell into place!
I already hit the thanks button, but I want to say it - Thank you!
Be healthy, Guys!

Moderator NoteA simple
search this topic at the top of the page, using "dezl 770" or even your HWID "2002" would have found the answer.
