Some more information:
<PartNumber>006-B3433-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>430</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>Alpha 200i</Description>

Firmware version as specified in GCD file: 4.30 for Unknown device (HWID 3433).
File format not recognized.

Can anyone help?

If you can't patch your Garmin device, try this method which works on my 66sr: discussed at length here

Thank you for your answer.

I was not sure where to post on the right topic because I did not know if the problem comes from the map, the GPS or the patch. I try on the other topic.

Thank you!

So someone is able to help me?

I have a Montana 610 and tried to use the TOPO France V6 but it is not recognized. I have a message that the GPS is not able to authenticate the map.
I followed the thread to patch the firmware and especially this post because I have exactly the same problem as addi51:

addi51 wrote:Thank you for your work! The only issue left is that i can't use the WebUpdater since it hasn't been updated for OS Catalina yet and it does not support 34-Bit anymore. Guess I have to wait and see or find a PC which I could use?

You can try using an SD card to Patch.
Be sure to remove & Back up All BirdEyes images (JNX files) currently present on
your device before applying the Patch
BirdEyes images can be restored AFTER flashing new firmware

Download & copy patched GCD file to SD card as Garmin\GUPDATE.GCD
Turn on device and enter "Yes" when prompted to install new software

This board requires you to be registered and logged-in to view hidden content.

But it still does not work.

Thank you in advance for the help.

@YolOsef
The patch above you quote is only a Patch for BirdEye JNX NOT for Maps img
Finding & using your HWID to search has been mentioned repeatedly, using 2299 in "search topic" at the top of the page includes the solution to addi51 problem

Hello guys, I'm looking for a solution to put my own jnx files in a Montana 700. (HWID : 3459)
For the life of me, I can't figure out a solution to patch my firmware... as even the latest Firmware Patcher v3.80 (from may 2019) isn't able to read my firmware.

Thanks a lot, have a good day!

Hey mimichris,

I just tried your patcher with all of my .gcd firmwares for the different updates of my Montana 700. Unfortunately, I keep getting the same message :"File format not recognized" =(
Just like with Firmware patcher v3.80.

Thanks a lot for the quick answer though!

So try this system it should work, because it works on my 66sr and other non-patchable Garmin :

To mimichris :

Are you referring about the IMGTool software? I think I got lost on the link you sent me and I'm not sure what to do right now.

I've tried something with changing my FW from gcd to an rgn file but it wasn't particularly useful...

With regards,

Sovaj

Using "Montana 700" in search this topic would have found multiple posts with this on
Unfortunately it looks like Drive, DriveSmart 52,55,65, zumo XT ,Alpha 200i, Montana 700 are all in the same category.
No solution as the Universal Firmware Patcher does not recognise the new format.
