This serie of Devices can accept the following Map Names:
1) internal \.System folder: only 1 Map named as gmaprom.img
2) internal \Garmin folder: only 1 Map named as gmasupp.img. Maybe a 2° Map is recognized (gpamsup1.img)
1) internal \Map folder: all the Maps you want named as anyname.img
3) external \Garmin folder: only 1 Map named as gmasupp.img. Maybe a 2° Map is recognized (gpamsup1.img)
4) external \Map folder: all the Maps you want named as anyname.img

I followed the instructions, unpacked the .rar file directly onto the microSD card, but looking at the .xml file I can see that the 8.81 version has not been updated.
Apparently the patch didn't go through.
The device must have been turned off because when I unplug it, it immediately turns off because its battery is not good.
What should I do??

I did it, thank you very much .
The procedure was good before, but I found that the problem was in the microSD card. When I replaced it, everything worked.
It confuses me that the firmware remains 8.80, shouldn't it be 8.81 now? Unlocked map works.

Nuvì 40-50 (HWID: 1350) doesn't need any Patch to read Unlocked Maps

I have a Garmin Echomap UHD 62cv chirp <Model><PartNumber>006-B3546-00</PartNumber><SoftwareVersion>1410
The patch does not seem to work. I cannot roll back (power on and up arrow) the firmware. It displays Recovery Loader Ready but does nothing further.
Active Captain also sees an upgrade (the patch firmware) but does not install it.
Is there a solution for these units?

Good evening I have a garmin drive 52 and I want to use the unlocked maps but when I put them in the sd it tells me that they are damaged I think it is blocked, I don't know if there is a patch for this garmin and if there is, how do I install it or what do I have to do doing would be a great help.

Welcome ,the newest devices are not Patchable to use Unlocked maps

Patch Kit SD would be the best option for me. I only found up to Dezl 770 (HWID 2002).
