Hide speed cam button on TT XL² (XL4ET03 -simplified menu)

Postby monstro900 » Mon May 18, 2015 5:44 pm

Hi all,

I reinstalled the original 9.510 NC with simplified menu for my XL4ET03 . Now, after I have run the route planner, the speed cam button appeared on my screen. Is there a way to remove the button with this version, because I can't find a solution ? There is no TT services button in this menu.

kind regards.

Have you checked the quick menu preferences?

The speed cam button appears on the map screen of the XL IQ Routes 2 when speed cams are activated.
I do not know of a way to remove the button other than disabling the speed cam service.
Also it is not possible to customize the settings per speed cam category.

If you have a setconfig.txt file, open it with notepad & change the top line to read modelid:43

I created the file containing 1 line 'modelid:43' . Saved it as setconfig on root of internal mem. Reboot my device, no change :017:

Hope you mean setconfig.txt, not just setconfig.

Can the reason of setconfig.txt not working be attributed to the fact that Monstro is using Downunder's Installer and not a SE navcore installer?

Since none of the "normal" ways are working, I am trying a few "outside of the box" ways.

Hi all,

I performed a complete reinstall, NC downloaded via TTHome. Added maps folder, patched with fastactivate and the problem is solved. However the setconfig.txt file does not give me extra function in NC 9.510 menu. :013:

Thanx for the update.
It wasn't intended to give you extra function in NC 9.510 menu.

okay then. I thought there was an extra menu function to enable/disabble speedcam button on screen.
However, my issue is solved. Thnx anyway for your replies. :023:
