Binatone F350 power-up problem

Postby jobytug » Sat Nov 24, 2012 1:05 pm

After backing up the 'DataFlash' folder, when I now power up the F350 I get the screen 'Calibrate' display and can't get out of it, except by frantic power-off/on with screen tap actions to get to the 'Navigate' screen. Can anyone suggest what's wrong and how to get out of it ? Thanks.

Couldn't you just calibrate it? If you do, does the screen go away?
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

No matter how many times I tap on screen to 'calibrate' it, the screen does not change. The calibrate cross steps round the screen without end. It's stuck permanently on calibrate display.

I hear you. If you're using your finger to calibrate it, try using a stylus instead. Your finger might be too fat LOL.

Grateful thanks ! I have previously used the stylus but never actually tapped precisely on the X and therefore never followed it around the screen (twice, just now).
Now I can get on with trying to install IGo without this complication.
Thanks again Chas.:clapping_mini:

One of the three folders shown under 'WindowsCE' when the F350 is connected by USB. It contains 'Maps' and 'Navigator' and is what I assumed is a critical internal folder to the F350.

On Binatones you don't need to touch the internal memory, you can run applications directly from the SD card.
