@FatBoyfun
Did you ever try to change Binatone Splash screen?

hiya, have friends binatone A430 and trying to get i3 primo running, got some confusing information, device accepts and recognises 4gb sdhc card (thought it was only 2gb max) shell.ini with couple of extras works, ran the gps finder and it comes up with com 7 baud 4800 NMEA, ran igo and auto detect gps com/baud show 7 and 57600, found satellites quickly (bout 20 to 30 seconds) ran i3 primo took about 15 min to find gps receiver and after about an hour still not finding satellites, had a look in save/profiles/01/system and it shows com 7 baud 57600, all in all, confusing, any sugestions?

Is it a 4GB SD card?

The GPS tool does report 4800 on these devices, but it's really 57600, maybe it can't work out what it's supposed to be as it's cached GPS data.

any solution for first splash screen?

You can change the windows ce wallpaper quite easily, by using the control panel or mortscript, the boot image, I would imagine needs to be flashed along side a ROM.

could you please give me mortscript to change it?
I did not do this before!

Something like...

RegWriteString ("HKCU", "ControlPanel\Desktop", "Wallpaper", "Something.bmp")
RedrawToday

Or open the wince control panel and change it manually.

In most of Chainiss device with WinCE if you put any Picture as Logo.bmp on SD card then turn device on it will seat to device as first screen but when I try it for Binatone it did not work?
Have you any idea how to flash it?

Mon Feb 25, 2013 1:44 pm

What device is it? Not every ROM is available.

Mon Feb 25, 2013 3:43 pm

S500 Please?

Mon Feb 25, 2013 7:45 pm

There is no ROM available for the S500, but if one ever appears, I think just putting a suitable bitmap called bootlogo.bmp amongst the ROM files changes the boot image.

But without the ROM files you can't change the image.

Have you any instruction or file to Rom other latest model?
They may use same method?

hiya, on front of card it says sdhc but in laptop says sd. i changed baud in save/profile/01/system txt to 4800 and re launched primo and it got sattelites and locked on straight away (well, about 10 seconds) all in all a bit strange, but it works, did notice sattalite count was bit low, only got 6 or 7 whereas with my other receiver get 11 or 12 (navman) even my medion mdpna gets 10
