Guide to Binatone devices

Postby Fatboyfun » Tue Feb 26, 2013 10:43 am

@best110 - There is no ROM files available for the S500 and I wouldn't flash another model's ROM as it might break something with no hope of recovery.

So in short, no it isn't possible.

@meadyyyy - Never seen a working SDHC in an A series before, or a baud rate of 4800, but go with what works...

Hi,

Sorry I know this is an old thread, however i was wondering if you could reupload the tomtom files for binatone devices as the links in the 'tomtom tutorial' don't seem to work anymore. Thanks

Some are working, iGO8 will probably be the best bet on a X350 as it's the "Problem child" of the range.

We can't offer individual builds for every country in the world, so you will have to download the application and the maps separately, but it's just a case of copying the maps and other content into the correct folders.

To make it easy for you, Go back to post #1, Read it, scroll down to iGO 8 for Binatone devices. and download it, use Fichier hosting as that was working when i checked it 30 minutes ago.

Here are the UK maps http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?6824-UK-amp-ROI-Content-pack.

This is a guide to the content files http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?3538-iGO-Primo-Enhancements.
You won't need all the files as some are Primo only.

Using the information linked to above you can build up your UK version yourself, and copy it to your device (sd card)

If you did it correctly you will see iGO start instead of the original app, If you see an error message like Application database cannot be found. then you did do everything correctly, but we need to tweak a file...

You'll need to be more specific about the model...

Hi New on here and lost!
I have a binatone R430.
igo8 now working.
I have just managed to down load your file.

Stupidly Decided to alter MobileNavigator file in the Dataflash file.
The backup file did not work on ActiveSync I must have made a mistake.
Please can anybody help with the original MobileNavigator file?
Many thanks
Nigel.

@bigmitko I will upload one later when I get home.

@nigelbread Give iGO 8 a chance, it is so much better, you won't miss the original.
