All working well, went for a drive today. I need to be more patient while it find the satellites.
now for a bit of a strange one. The music player in iGO Primo plays the music at 1/2 speed?
Could it be to do with MP3 format?

Hi, im looking to install Tomtom on my A350 Binatone.

Can anyone put a simple step by step instructions for me to follow with what files i need to download please?

Look in post #1, everything you need is linked to from there...

I seen the A350 ROM files but no download link to the files? Is that the ROM files i need for Tomtom or is it the stock rom used by Binatone that file?

I take it i need the Tomtom files for the A350, then follow the instructions on pressing the 'sleep' button while clicking onto the 'on' position? and installation will take place from my sd card

Anyone got a link to the tomtom files i need?

Why do you need to flash the ROM?

Just read it again, you don't need to flash the ROM to run Tomtom, it's just a case of copying files to a SD card, then activating the maps.

Never installed Tomtom on a SatNav before, only ever modded phones and gaming consoles.

So very much a newbie at this, so i take it you need to put the tomtom files on a sd card, then how do you run it from there? Also, cant seem to find the tomtom files for the a350?

Go back to post #1 of this thread, scroll down to "Application downloads", It tells you what to do...

There are many different types of satnav, some (like the Binatone) are easy to unlock, some are much more difficult, and some are impossible.

In reality most are pocket PC devices running windows ce, optimized (crippled) to run one programme only, with a bit of work they can run other programmes, or even boot to a desktop like a PC.

Nowhere tells me how to 'unlock' it? Ive downloaded the tomtom files to my sd card, trying to install by pressing the power button while sliding to 'on' position.... nothing happens at all

What files have you downloaded?

On a Binatone there is no need to flash the ROM to run Tomtom.

APPLICATION DOWNLOADS.
Please note that for security reasons some links are hidden until the 'thanks' button below is pressed and the page is refreshed!
Tomtom Navigator 7. Windows CE 5 devices ONLY!
Use the generic WinCE Tomtom tutorial available here...
Tomtom tutorial.
and use this pre-prepared SHELL.ini (TTNOnBinatone.zip)
Copy the Navigator folder and the SHELL.ini file to the root of an empty SD card, Insert into your device, Restart the device and then start navigation to install Tomtom, Follow the tutorial to setup and activate your maps.
You must use a separate SD card reader as you CANNOT activate your maps via ActiveSync or WMDC!
Remember the GPS settings will be "Other NMEA Receiver, Baud 57600 and COM:7"

Yeah i went thru the tomtom guide and didnt get very far. I copied the navigation folder to an empty sd card and nothing happened on my satnav :/

You will need the shell.ini as well, plus maps, postcodes and speedcams.

also a SDHC card won't work, you need a SD card (2GB or less)
