Check you've correctly installed a compatible map.

Suggestion: Your posts would be better received and understood if you used punctuation marks.

The programme does not contain maps, go to the iGO map section, and look for my UK and ROI content pack.

Hi. I'm Tom. This stuff would be marvellous if only I could get into my binatone f350! I cannot get the sodding thing to show up in "my computer". XP goes bingbong and says that the new device is now working but I cannot find it. Can anyone help me please?
thanks

I think you need to use active sync. Better to put explorer on an SD card, put it in the device and reset it, You can then access the device.

Thanks Sug,
I have managed to get into it using active sync.
I don't understand what you mean by "put explorer on an SD card, put it in the device and reset it". I am a complete newb when it comes to satnav and am pretty dumb, sorry. I have an SD card that fits, but have no idea how to get the F350 to do anything with the information on it.
What I basically want to do is add the gpx files from lpgmap.co.uk so that I can find an LPG station whenever I need one.
But what folder do I put them in?
I have a list of files called:-
Dataflash
My Documents
Network
Program files
Temp
Windows
Control panel

I think this is a TurboDog system (learnt that from another post somewhere), other than that I can tell you very little. If you could give me some simpleton directions I would be most grateful.
I have spent so many hours just to get this far and I must admit I am lost without your assistance.

I had a troublesome F430 once.

Get a spare empty micro SD card, put on the files you want to transfer to the device, then create a new text file called shell.ini (check there is no .txt extension) containing

\windows\explorer.exe

Make sure it's not inside any folder!

Put the card into the device and reboot, now when navigation is stated the desktop appears, just like a real PC, you can use an explorer window to move files around.

Are you sure those LPG POI files work with turbo dog, All the files relating to turbo dog will be in the dataflash folder. Have a poke around there.

Thu Jul 18, 2013 5:36 pm

No, I'm not sure they will work with turbo dog. Can anyone tell me how to convert them and where to put them please?
I have done what fatboyfun said and put an SD card in it and can now use windows explorer on it. Thanks for that.
So all I need now is to work out where to put the files and if they are in the correct format. The ones I have are gpx files, but I can download ones for a TomTom or a Garmin.
Can you help point me in the right direction please?
Thanks
Tom
