I own a 2002 LX470 truck. It came with a Gen2 NAV DVD computer, but I upgraded it to Gen4. The Gen4 I bought from eBay came with a NAV DVD version 5.1. According to members from another forum, Toyota disabled the Diagnostic Mode feature of creating a destination while the vehicle is in motion in DVD version 6.1 or 7.1. They write that the load files of these newer versions updates the NAV DVD computer's firmware. The latest maps DVD is version 16.1; I bought this from eBay, too. I would like to create a "hybrid DVD" containing load files from my DVD version 5.1 and the map files from my DVD version 16.1 so that I can have the latest available maps for my 2002 vehicle whilst having access to setting destinations when my vehicle is in motion. Please help me find the solution! I believe that many users from "the other forum" ([Please Register or Login to download file] ) would also be thankful!
