SD card is not recognized

SD card is not recognized

Postby moonchild90 » Sun Dec 11, 2016 6:17 pm

Hi Guys!

My TT ONE XL does not accept the SD Card (SDHC) on 8 gigs.

When I plug it in, it comes up with the blue card, and the red cross over it.

I have tried to do af format (fat32) but still no changes.

What is my problem? Does it only support the normal SD card? What is the limit of gigs?

Thanks

first check your bootloader
Checking bootloader (the only reliable method)
Enter a device reset 15 sec.
Then turn on the device and hold the start button until you
get info screen. Which bootloader is there.
---
Update (if your current bootloader version is lower)
This first to version 5.5022 .
!! BE SURE THAT THE BATTERY IS FOR MORE THEN 50% CHARCHED !!
[Please Register or Login to download file]
Put the bootloader on a SD card 2GB or less. Read the txt file wich included in the
bootloader.
If your current boot loader, is version 1.xxxx stop first !! and report it here on the forum.

Your device read from intern or extern (not both). So if you want to use an SD card with maps then you have to read from extern. So navcore and map on the SD card. Activate map. Card in Device and 15 sec reset. Now it should work.

You said I have installed the lastest navcore on the device. So I suppose that you have an XL with internal memory.
Wich navcore you use and wich map of Europe you try i.e Europe 980.7895 (or some one else)

moonchild90:

I don't think you are fully understanding what Holyhead is trying to tell you....

1. The operating system on a TomTom is called a 'navcore'
2. A One XL cannot use both internal storage and SD storage at the same time so you need to copy ALL of the files (the navcore) from the internal storage to the SD card....and also the map
3. The map you use MUST be compatible with the version of navcore you've got installed otherwise it won't work...so you need answer Holyhead's question as to exactly what version of navcore you've installed and exactly which map you've installed so he can help you further.
