1. What is "ssh..." ??
2. You must register you unit in MYTOMTOM, just like you do/did in TT Home

I don't think anyone knows what the username and passwords are for SSH access.

Hi all,

I want to replace my TomTom ONE v3 with this model :TomTom xl4ET03. Can I hack this device the same way I did with the ONE ? I think the XL model doesn't have a SD card slot, so I have to store everything on the devices internal memory, right ?

best regards.

Yes and yes :D

You can update this one the same as your old one.
Only this XL has a simplified menu and only works with his own navcore.. But with a DSA patched navcore you can have full menu back.

Storage is only internal.

Hey Shaman,

thank you for a fast reply. So in fact I can install every navcore I want with full menu using DSA ? Do I find DSA patched navcores on navitotal ?
New maps I have to activate with fastactive then?

kind regards.

No, in this case you can't.

You can patch the original navcore with the DSA tool to get full menu back. Cause the " problem " with this type of XL is that it only works good with his original navcore.

Yes, you can

If you don't mind the simplified menu, you can simply patch your original navcore and use downloaded maps, activated with Fastactivate.

But can I mix both, use the DSA patched original navcore so that I have full menu access and use fastactivated maps ?

If you know how to use the DSA tool or where to find a patched navcore, that's an option.

So if I DSA patch the XL's original NC and use fastactivated maps, it should work ?
