Just wanted to know since some time has passed since this thread was made. Is there still no way to put on Europe Truck Maps on VIA (Via 135 to be specific) ?

HI... I bought a TOMTOM via 1410 SE with US map, but actually I live in Canada. So, I was reading the topics and could understand that this new version of gps cant be "broken" (to add a new map for free). But the maps at tomtom website are too expensive. Can you help me with a solution, like explaining to me if I can add a map using one of your links...and if I can add them, which arquives do I need to download to be able to do it (I am sorry but I am a kind of dumb with technologies and really can not understand which files should I download or which kind of features my gps has...)?
Thank you for your help.

You better wait until TomTom offers maps with a discount.
They offer that a few times a year and they can offer 30 or 40% discount.
Not that uninteresting.
If not, you can always buy a new model which has LifeTime Maps.

1. Correct!!
2. Agreed.
3. There isn't a "free" solution. Pay is the only way, be it full price or a package deal of some sort.
4. None, nothing, nada!!

To pay may be the only way but waiting for a very reasonable discount is definitely an option. Paying the full amount is not the only way.

I don't recall anybody saying it was.

I'm also not stating that. But is an addition which might well be of interest and good use for those afflicted with MyDrive TomToms without LTM.

I sniffed on my mac the installation of some language packages and map share updates.
If someone is interested in checking them, please PM me, I'll send the link.
Thank you
