Step 1. Use your TomTom Home to update your Navcore to the highest version
This is OK if you are going to use the Official current navcore version for your unit. It is a waste of time, if you are going to use a non-official navcore.
Step 2. Eventually backup your device's content using the application. Note: Backup Map Settings.cfg manually from the map folder to keep your favorites. You have already backed-up both of these in your NOTE before Step 1.
Step 3. Look at the compatibility charts (topic18262.html) that corresponds to your Navcore version
ALL compat charts correspond to ALL navcores.
Step 4. Copy the map to your TomTom. OK
Step 5. Download the latest FastActivate at (general-discussions-about-tomtom-f81/fastactivate-latest-update-jan-2016-includes-version-updater-tool-t14003.html) place it at device's root folder and patch your navcore and map.

Step 6.Safely disconnect the device from the computer, OK
Step 7. Now that the map is correctly working and running, connect your TT back to your computer, disable auto backup in TomTom HOME settings and update your device to get the latest QuickFix GPS optimizations (for finding quicker satellites locations)
