WNRO Ultimate Solution for Go x10/x20/x30 & 7000

Emboldened by my success with my two GO 920 units (which continues by the way), and having discovered the German forum Digital Eliteboard in the process, I thought I'd see if I could get my ONE XL back into service: Eliteboard appear to have had some success in that respect. But my German is non-existent and therefore I'm struggling (even with Google translating) to follow all the relevant dialogues on that board.
Therefore I'm wondering if those on this board - particularly charlie62 and Fredderf - can help me understand what's required get my ONE XL (with the GL1 chip) back into service ?

Thanks holyhead, I've downloaded that NC, will try it out soon, and report the outcome.

One other point. My GO 920s are operating successfully with the auto-start NC 9.510 which appears to be what the German Digital Eliteboard board are also using with their ONE XL. I'd really appreciate help with also achieving that auto-start capability with my ONE XL...Can you (or anybody else with a better understanding of German) help with that ambition please?

Apologies for this late response - family got in the way! Followed your advice for my ONE XL and
• Initially after a few minutes it found around 5 satellites but took another 5 minutes or so to fix 3 of them.
• Then after more time (hours – left on over lunch) many (>5 <9) satellites now fixed. Good result eventually.
• On startup, even with updated QuickGPSfix, took just over 3 minutes to find and fix 6 satellites. But that’s acceptable.
• Couldn’t locate the menu display showing battery charge state.
The inability to find any menu entry to see the battery charge state is annoying to say the least. Can another 'skin' be applied to make this available? If so how do I do that?

Also I'd like to have the auto-start function available. The following references are seen on the German Digital Eliteboard for the ONE XL 32mb model. "Auto-start NC 9.510", "TT Navcore 9.541_ WNRO-Fix_32MB-Ram auto-an" and "NC 9.541_ WNRO-Fix_32MB-Ram mit auto-an-Funktion". But I've been unsuccessful in locating the download source for any of those NCs on that Eliteboard forums or anywhere else. Can somebody body help me with that please?
Many thanks

PS Would this post be better placed in a more appropriate sub-forum? Please advise/arrange.

I tried this solution on my internal drive go 720 but both versions hang by starting with the notification : the flashing process is starting. But nothing happens. I waited a long time but no progress of a yellow bar.

Later I tried a sd card and now it worked!

TomTom released a new navcore 9.541 for Global Locate chipset devices like yours.

Do a full backup of your device > download the new navcore from the link below and extract it over the top of your original navcore overwriting everything > then re-patch the system with FastActivate > job done...easy

@ Fredderf
Thanks for the solution! The clock is now working fine and not set to 00:00 after a few minutes.

It's not possible...all you can do is update the device through TomTom MyDrive Connect software

Hello,
Like someone said earlier, try to use a SD card to flash it.

I know this is a bit off topic, but does anyone know of a utility for Windows CE 4.2 which will allow the flashing of said SiRFstarIII bin files?
I have a generic WinCE device (using SiRFstarIII chipset) running TomTom that experiences the same issues as a regular TomTom due to the WNRO.
If attempting to upgrade the firmware kills it I'm not bothered as it's currently pretty much useless.
Thanks :003:

Hi everyone.

I have a carminat tomtom on my renault. A use a SDCARD with 8.843 navcore & tomplayer integrated on same SD. I having issues because sometimes after a while the car gets out of route and it seems "lost". It solves it by reseting carminat (removing card and insert again), by it cames back again. On the settings of the equipment it shows GSW3.2.4TT_3. Is that the cause for it? if it is there any possability to upgrade GSW on carminat tomtom (non -live in my case) withou losing the ability to update maps freely?
Thanks in advance.
